Rotting Road Rage

Early in my first year of college, myself and 3 others were tasked with making a short 2d game in Unity within 3-4 weeks. I came up with the idea for a top down driving game.
My role was to program the car. To do this I made heavy use of Unity's physics system as well as the Enhanced Input System.
Getting the car to feel right was challenging. I had to figure out how to balance mass, friction/drag, acceleration/deceleration, top speed, steering force, and many other aspects to make it feel fun to drive.
Getting the car to not feel "slidey" was by far the hardest part of development. That word has haunted me ever since.
You can download and play it off of itch.
